Illidan: Bloody premades!
Illidan has left Black Temple.
Black Temple closes in 2 minutes.
Hey, I thought it was a good joke. I even thought it was funny enough to type into /bg while in Alterac Valley. Horde was losing, I figured our side could use a little levity.
Instead, I got called out for role playing. To quote:
Take your [expletive delete] roleplay somewhere else
And various other comments along those lines, most lacking this level of correct spelling and capitalization. I guess nobody found it funny?
Alterac Valley seems to be filled with far more stupid people than it used to be. I know, I know, it has long since ceased to be related to actual PvP for quite some time, but still. Most AV’s, there would usually be some who were there to actually do stuff. Usually not more than ten per side. Now, though?
Bah. Bah, I say. It seems the actual good players play AV to get honour, and honestly don’t care what they do to get it. Mostly just hang around, or play it half asleep and do things like “accidentally” jump off cliffs, or pick a random direction and hit autorun while they fetch a drink.
If you want serious PvP, Arathi Basin or Warsong Gulch are the go to’s.
Eye of the Storm, of course, has been proven to cause intelligent people to die of dysentery.
One of the new, or, I guess, not so new AV afk methods is the use of AFK botting. Basically it’s a program that picks random people and puts them on /follow, dismounting, mounting, and even rudimentary direction changes to appear like a real player. A very slow player. Maybe an unconscious one.
Point is, the only reason it works is because the majority of the people in these AV’s don’t care. Most won’t notice, and when told about it… mostly shrug and say “meh”.
Then you have people like me… who decide to have some fun.
Step 1: Get one of these follow bots to follow you
Step 2: Mount up, and then ride hard for the opposing team’s starting cave.
Step 3: Rush into the cave, then Ice Block.
Step 4: Watch the elite guards destroy your /follow bot
Step 5: Die and rez, so that you are the closest player to the /follow bot
Step 6: Repeat steps 2 through 5 as needed
Or, better yet.
Step 1: Get yourself Hydrocane
Step 2: Get yourself a /follow bot
Step 3: Rush to the lake by the harpies
Step 4: Go scuba diving, and hope the /follow bot isn’t Forsaken. Them suckers take a long time to drown
And remember to take screenshots! I forgot, maybe you won’t!
