Ok, so Patch 2.4 brings about a bazillion new dailies, a truckload of stuff to do back in Azeroth and all over the place in Outlands. Most places just get a revamp, some, like Doom Lord Kazzak here, have their home turned into a place filled with weak demons and overdosing elves. Oh yeah, and it’s filled with random people doing dailies.
Now, Blizzard, in their eternal wisdom, have vastly increased the respawn times on these mobs. We’re talking twenty seconds. That way everyone has enough mobs to kill.
The horrible downside is that when good ol’ Doom Lord spawns, he’s surrounded by a vast collection of incompetent morons. Both PC’s and NPC’s alike. So needless to say, trying to properly down DLK closely resembles the efforts of five guys with shotguns attempting to prevent Koreans from purchasing Starcraft 2.
Pardon my language, but the word “Cluster[expletive that rhymes with truck]” is rather suitable.
You kill all the adds, and get a Misdirect pull going. As the hunter pulls, 2 Wrath Guards spawn, followed by a fire elemental. As DLK takes his ponderous steps towards the raid, a couple more Wrath Guards spawn. Some ranged DPS tries to get range, and pulls some of the elite stoner elves. Then, just for [expletive]s and giggles, some more fire elementals spawn. Then, of course, some alliance wackos jump into the fray, doing who knows what. Maybe just jumping up and down while shouting Die Hard quotes.
In any case, we all die horribly, and then a dwarf paladin by the name of “Giimli” (It’s Giimli with three eyes! Har har!) tries to be an hero, pulls DLK, and gets stepped on by accident while DLK goes to fetch himself some Cherry Whiskey.
The end result turning into a massive pile of corpses made up of everything from demons to trolls to night elves.
It was really rather disgusting.
In the end, though, Kazzak threw himself off the edge of Outland, claiming he had to wash his hair.
So please, Blizzard, can you tone down the respawn when Kazzak is active? I’m sure everyone else wouldn’t mind if we had a 100 yard cube free of random mobs to get a proper attempt in.
Unless, of course, you feel we need the practice for the Vashj fight.
By the way, for those of you who care for such things (hey there, Aetherial Circle, wazzup?) Anathema has cleared Zul’Aman and killed every Tier 5 Raid Boss except Vashj and Kael.
Morogrim is a pansy.
I hate Murlocs so [expletive] much.
