I tried out this spec, and I am enjoying a new challenge in places where frost may have been too easy.

For awhile, after dueling down in the dalaran sewers and outside IF for quite some time, I felt the need to buy a facemask from all the facerolling I felt I was doing. Not wanting to say frost is easy or overpowered, I will state that that I believe I am simply at the point where my skill in 1v1 has exceeded that of a normal person (from having exclusively dueled for many days of playing time), and it doesn’t take much unless the other person also has a thing for 1v1 combat too.

Hmm.. Well, until I get a full set of caster plate to use for healing in PvP, would you all suggest I just stay RET or change over to that Prot/RET spec I tend to see lately.

Generally speaking, my server (Ravenholdt), like many others, has a terrible need for more healers but being as Blizzard doesn’t mak it possible yet to get weapons from honor, it looks like I’m stuck to doing heroics for a decent mace/sword.

Gah, I can barely stand brief fight explanations. Our raid leader sums up fights we know with “group 2 go left, group 1 right” or even less.

Prot/holy is still fine for 2s, and will be until the SS changes hit live.

Eventually you will have no choice but to spec into the rather terrible holy tree.

A lot of people like to do the “12 million x $15 a month = $$$” equation.

Only europe and north america actually have the roughly $15 a month subscription. All of Asia, for instance, pays hourly, not monthly.

The support staff for a company this big, spreading across multiple continents, has got to be huge. WoW obviously pulls down at least a few hundred million a year, so it’s definitely profitable.
I just highly doubt people like Ghostcrawler go home to a mountain of gold.

I still don’t see an issue.

Take your mammoth example. A big ass three person mammoth says “I have sooo much more gold than you lololol.”
But then, isn’t that kinda what a store-bought pet does?
I could be utterly failing to look at it properly, but the way I see it, wouldn’t a store bought pet have, well, the connotations associated with it that it’s store bought?

on the subject of overgeared healers: my priest is at the point where in a heroic he will do the next pull and tank it purely healing himself.
