It’s the only way to be sure.

I had a dream where I was a Discipline priest, healing my arse off in battlegrounds. Bubbles, Flash Heal, and Penance were hurled about like free candy.
There were even incredibly specific moments, like Mass Dispelling a mage out of Ice Block and keeping a warrior dispelled so he could kill it.
Hell, there was even the damn “Horde wins!” at the end, showing me as #2 on the healing meters. A Shaman beat me. Nerf imaginary Chain Heal.
Queued up again, and OH MAN the same warrior was there. I attached myself to him like some sort of cloth wearing leech. Big ol’ Tauren warrior named “Beefy McLargeHuge.” Apparently you can name yourself whatever you want in imaginary WoW.
Halfway through, my priest was literally just sitting in the guy’s head.
I’ve never played a Discipline priest, or a priest in PvP. What the hell, brain?

Arcane seems to be awesome for Heroics. Bosses aren’t going to be alive for long, so one can simply dump mana into them as fast as possible without really fearing running OOM.
Though, I think Arcane is going to be nerfed a little. Glyph of Arcane Blast seems the obvious choice, I mean, that thing is a huge DPS buff. Massive.
It probably just won’t stack anymore. I mean, really, 15% damage boost with three stacks? That can’t possibly be intended.
Can it?
If it is, to whoever thought up and implemented the idea: call me. I’ll buy you cake.
I also expect arcane shattering to be nerfed, somehow, in the very near future. Having it consumed at the start of the spell seems the obvious thing, though it might simply be left alone. Blizzard doesn’t exactly have a good track record of fixing bugs related to Arcane Missiles.
It’s also possible to pull of an Arcane Shatter without clipping the fifth Arcane Missile. It requires the same timing as a standard frost shatter combo. Get Quartz, and time it just right. Lag will seriously bugger this up.
Just waiting for the mage forums to be swamped in QQ, once clever mages start hurling around three stack crits in battlegrounds.

Mage Armor is so borked right now. You know how it reduces the duration of all magic effects by 50%?
Take Corruption. Lasts 15 seconds, ticks every three seconds. Throw up Mage Armor, and now it lasts 7 seconds, ticking every three seconds. So it only ticks twice.
Or at least, it used to.
Now, Corruption lasts 7 seconds, ticking every 1.5 seconds. Thus still dealing the same amount of damage, only twice as fast.
Here you go, Warlocks, you finally got buffed.

Finally updated the talent guides to reflect the new stuff in 3.0.8. If anyone still uses them, they’re updated now.

I’ve considered rolling on different realms many, many times in the past. I really do love the blogging community, despite how reclusive I am about it.
I rarely leave comments (usually because I can’t think of anything non-retarded to say), so my community profile is really low. Or at least, that’s how it seems to me.
That, and I’m sort of a goofball. If you hosted a party, I’d be the guy who showed up and had the brilliant idea of getting drunk and watching “The Blair Witch Project” with the TV turned upside down.
Drenden is the obvious choice. There are something like a bajillion bloggers there, and every single one of them is completely insane. It’d be like the institution away from home.
Only problem is that I’d have to roll alliance. Gah, just thinking about it makes me cringe. Bring back dwarf mages, and I’m sold.
Dwarves rock.

In case you didn’t read the comments for last post.
Arcane Meditation, Mage Armor (and the glyph), and Pyromaniac ALL stack. This means you can get 100% mana regeneration whilst casting. You can’t go higher than 100%, though.

If anyone is having trouble keeping track of Living Bomb, just do this:
#showtooltip
/cast Living Bomb(Rank 2)
/script Stopwatch_Play();
/stopwatch 12
It’ll even play a convenient “ding” noise for you.
Your blogs are just so awesome, I can’t believe it’s took me this long to find them.
I rarely leave comments (usually because I can’t think of anything non-retarded to say)
Haha, I’m sure you’d leave at least entertaining comments! And I love that you share your WoW dreams. Mine can be quite odd too and it cracks me up everytime.
And.. the upside down TV idea sounds interesting… actually…
Only problem is that I’d have to roll alliance.
Yeah, what is with the large population of Alliance bloggers? Nothing against them (of course!), but us Horde need to represent more in the blogosphere. Although you could question my Horde-ness, I s’pose, with my Blood Elves and all… but Sideshow (my other half) makes up for it with all of his Undead toons, I think.
Thought the mage armor nerf was extremely stupid, they do double damage now… The QQ over arc mages is worse than ever, shamwows are complaining they got 2 shotted. SHAMWOWS! Tis a glorious day for mages.
P.S. What in the hell is spirit and why do I have it on my gear?
I was brought in as a back-up DPS on Noth last night (25 man) and I obliterated the DPS meters with arcane. I pulled 3.3k DPS at the top, the nearest FFB mage (who had equal or so gear) was number 7 with 2.2k DPS. My build is a 58/2/11, soon to probally be 57/3/11. I have no mana regen talents at all other than Magic Abosrption and I don’t have Ice Shards for blizzard.
I found I had very few mana problems, I had around 19k buffed up. I used a full burn rotation till 30% mana, evocated then repeated it and used a mana gem, then used a 2x ABl rotation till evocation came back.
The ability to throttle DPS to your mana is superb, even when I had to Blizzard I still didn’t run out of mana. I do think the shatter combo will be nerfed but I hope it won’t, after all you can still pull it with FoF. (At least you could last I was Frost, diregard that if I’m wrong.)
Pretty please don’t switch servers. You are the only blogger worth his salt on our server, and it would make me a bit sad to see that Rip is no longer in my friends lost because the character doesn’t exist.
Yeah, you can still pull the Shatter thing with FoF. It requires extreme precision to do, but hey, that’s what frosties are all about.
It’s true… there are a lot of alliance bloggers… I never really notice till they start throwing things out like ‘shadowmeld’… oh yeah… useful indeed but me no have dat
I wonder if one could figure out how to track down bloggers on servers… that’d be nice. Wouldn’t mind seeing what other bloggers have to say about my silly little realm.
Then again maybe it’s better for my ego if I pretend I am the only blogger
