The Theory-Craft-O-Matic Lives!

As you may or may not know, Lhivera is no longer with us. Not in the “dead” sense, but in the “moved on” sense. In the “not updating the TCoM for Wrath” sense.

Thankfully, another very prominent theory crafter tester style mage has taken up the torch, acquired the original code, and has it up and running again.

Zaldinar is one of those guys willing to spend hours measuring precisely how far Blastwave actually tosses people, and will even do variations to see if direction, terrain, and even which way the mage is facing to see how far the knockback becomes.

Basically, HE IS YOUR GOD.

The TCoM is still under construction, so there are some options that still aren’t there.

Hoo boy. This game is addicting.

I was initially planning on having one post per day for the entire month of November. Yeah, that’s going to work out. Blah.

So here I am, barely able to drag myself away from the game to do pretty much anything else. I’m not even speed leveling or anything; just wading through the content.

Anyone else notice how, when you’re running around killing these big scottish Viking Dudes on HF that the game is playing almost-cheery Braveheart style music? Does that bother anyone else?

I can almost picture all these poor Viking Guys shouting “FREEEEDOOOOM!” with their final breath, right before I incinerate their organs.

Ah well. They probably deserved it. Who am I to question a rotting corpse with a name that sounds like a guttural utterance?

Release night was… strange. I’ve heard a lot of stories, some of them horrible, some of them good. I didn’t go to the midnight release (was originally planning to, said “blah!”, went to bed), but I did go relatively early the next day.

There was a whole bunch of us there. Haggard people, with our unshaven faces, smiling sheepishly at each other as we stood in line, waiting for our chance to spend hours in a simulation our supreme overlords carefully constructed for us.

No horror stories like the staff trying to upsell, either. Maybe because they all play WoW too (I still chuckle over one of the employees telling her manager off for being a “noob”); they didn’t even mention I could get 30% off the game guide if I bought it at the same time.

Which I did buy. It has a list of all the achievements, so I have an out of game checklist now. YAY!

Viking is always capitalized. Always.
