Supposedly, if my notoriously unreliable sources are correct, there was a Blog Azeroth shared topic about… well, what I just said. What will YOU be doing come Wrath Day?
First, actually buying the game. That will be important. Unsure if I’m going to go to a midnight thingy or not. Maybe.
Second, installing/patching and so forth… hopefully there won’t be too much of that. I’ve been on the beta for some time now, maybe that counts? My entire UI has been revamped and is fully usable in Wrath, so at least I don’t need to do that.
And then… let the leveling begin. I won’t be moving lightning fast, there’s no “ARGH MUST GET TO 80!!” drive here. I mean, c’mon, I’ve already played a Death Knight to 74 on the beta, I think I can afford to take the time to dick around a bit now.
That, and I need to make sure my hunter alt (which is 70 now, by the way. Go me!) doesn’t get too behind. I’ve got to support my engineering/tailor self somehow.
The DK will be given an extremely wide berth. The starting quests for them are… excellent. Absolutely excellent, even with large amounts of lag (highest lag I experienced was in the 6k area, it was still awesome); thankfully, I’ve already done the DK starter quests 7 times, so I have no need to do them again.
Yes, I liked them enough to do it 7 times. What?
I might not even make a Dk on live. I wasn’t particularly attracted to the class upon playing it, though that may change.
Hell, I came to find Paladins exciting to play, so anything can happen, right?
And then I have got to decide what spec I’ll be heading into raids and instances as. I’ve already eliminated arcane (we aren’t on speaking terms anymore), which leaves deep fire, frostfire, or frost. They all click quite nicely with me, I just have to wait until one of them clicks more. Or just respec every week.
And after that, I need to find a guild to go forward with into Wrath. Such a pity. Guild hunting has got to be the worst part of this game. So much confusion, it’s like the way hollywood portrays high school.
“Did he mean that? Did I go too far with the robot bubble gum joke? What the hell is an “Erol”?”
“He’s swearing at the boomkin. But people are typing “LOL” in /r. Does this happen a lot? Why so much hate? Is this normal?”
“Hi there! Welcome to the guild! Invite to SSC incoming, we’re doing Hydross!” /die. What a night.
I could always give the whole damn thing a pass, and reroll completely. I’ve explored that route a few times. It never pans out. I’ve done far too much in Euripedes to just abandon him, and I’m far too cheap to pay for a transfer. Combine that with a chronic illness called “cannot play alliance characters very well”, and I guess I’m staying.
So if you’re from Duskwood Horde side, here’s a mage looking for a cool place to hang out.
And THEN. Once that is out of the way, I need to find some arena partners. Preferably people to actually get a specific comp together. I’ve been dying to try out a 5v5 of some sort, or maybe the new and invigorated priest/mage/rogue. If I can even remember how to play, that is.
And after that, I really need to make some bloody movies of some sort. Something, anything. Something reminescent of Evertras; a weird storyline involving a romance between a paladin and a priest in the wrong place at the wrong time; maybe a bunch of Murlocs rocking out to Weird Al; SOMETHING to at least get familiar with the whole process of editing/effects/recording and all that.
Would be nice if model viewer worked, too, without some zany work around that seems to have been invented by a psychotic drunk panda.
So that’s my schedule for the next little while here.
So my BA topic of the week is two months late. Sue me.
I’m going full Frost (0/0/61) for leveling 70-80 and will decided on my 80 spec when I actually get to 80
I really think it’s premature to decide now, especially since a leveling spec and a raiding or pvp spec are different beasts.
GL with finding a guild. Look for a more mature guild and it will feel less like high school
If you’re interested, drop an application Stay Frosty’s way. We’re pretty much taking every good applicant, and gear is no longer a real consideration. We will be heading into 25-man raiding in Wrath. Since we’ve already taken a lot of new people, now is the perfect time to join and meet everyone. We’ve got a really solid guild core, great officers, and I think our track record in BC raiding was really strong for Duskwood (Kalecgos in Sunwell pre-patch).

Hope to see an application!
Rip,
Stay Frosty is a dedicated raiding guild that is full of cool people. You may be one of the younger members if you join, but not the least mature – that’s my job.
