Upon reaching Outland on the hunter, I met no less than five other hunters while doing the “Welcome to Thrallmar, punk” quests.
I grouped with another hunter to do that pirate patch Orc guy. Grilled Darkeye or something.
I grouped with a different hunter to do the whole Zeth’Gor thing, out of convenience. Hey, if one hunter can handle five mobs easy, two could handle ten, right? Right. Stupid spellcasters.
There was someone in general looking for a group for Cruel’s Intentions. A hunter.
I went after Blacktalon the Savage, with another hunter.
While questing on Void Ridge, I was all by myself… until a party of three hunters showed up.
No less than six hunters questing in the Den of Haal’esh.
That guy doing Cruel’s is looking for a healer. Apparently he found another hunter to group with.
Fallen Sky Ridge? A pair of hunters there clearing.
Went to the Ruins of Sha’naar for the quest chain… blood elf runs up, “group?”.
OH.
MY.
GOD.
A PROT PALADIN!
Off to Zangarmarsh. Three hunters looking for a healer and a tank for Slave Pens. Met three alliance hunters at Cenarion thingy. Another troll hunter at Swamprat post. Ran past a dranei hunter at Telre… mushroom city.
Me and another hunter killing Umbrafen. A 70 hunter grinding Sporeggar rep.
Passed a hunter killing Boglash.
I kept names. NONE of these were the same hunters.
Did a /who for Zangarmarsh. 17 results. 16 hunters. One druid.
I can only guess what the alliance side looked like.
So this is what Outland will look like when the Death Knights come barging through.
Ahhh hunters as far as the eye can see… does that mean there will be more mage spots in raids?
It’s funny when you have those moment where all you can see are things like “you”.
Buy a new car… never seen it on the road before, drive out of the dealership… sea of your cars.
Grind a new hunter, “never seen them before”… sea of new hunters…

Maybe I am glad I wont be around for the first couple of months of WoLK.. I will be able to start in a nice calm environment
Hm…I actually don’t remember seeing many hunters on my server, though I am a hunter myself, so my view may be skewed. There usually is a hunter in almost every one of the popular LFG channels though.
same thing on my server, excet it’s the fury warriors that are all in lfg. you guys need a tank? respec for the love of all that’s holy-specced!
What’s sad is that my guild has zero hunters for raiding right now. None! And it seems to be really difficult to recruit any, either.
My guild has 3 hunters, the guildmaster who’s marksman, my spouse who’s beastmaster and myself who’s survival. What’s funny about that is the guildmaster usually plays his feral druid or resto shaman, my wife plays her fire mage 99% of the time and I play my prot warrior or holy/disc priest for endgame stuff.
Yeah, you seriously can’t swing a dead cat without hitting a dozen hunters. According to Warcraft Realms, they’re the most populace pure-dps class in the game (not surprisingly).
I know a lot of folks level them to have as farming alts, and then there’s scores of folks that actually play them as mains. They’re inescapable.
And yeah, I suspect that will likely be how Death Knights are when WotLK finally goes to public release. At least for the first couple months. Then it’s back to hunters.
I myself have never got a hunter past like lvl 22. I just can’t seem to attract myself to the class. I suppose one day I might level one out of boredom or for farming use.
My main is a hunter as i was reccommended to try that class when i first started the game – learning game mechanics and rules etc was maybe easier on a hunter? I dont seem to see copious numbers of hunters when i play but maybe i get focused on my own game and not worry about who/what class is playing around me. Unless i am in Pvp it realy doesnt matter what classes are playing around me….i am glad i am not on a pvp server but that is another kettle of fish.

Waiting to start SSC one night and we had 5 hunters in Raid, they [b]ALL[/b] had the same [i]supposedly rare [/i] white tiger ! The raid leader goes “nice to see all our hunters shop at the same pet store!”
