Bugsack is broken! Well, ok, it still works, except that it slows WoW down to three frames per second. Precisely three. No more, no less.
Went back to AV the other day. Maybe it was the break, but AV is a very different battleground than what it used to be, and nobody has a clue how to play it any more.
Met some fun people, on both sides of the zerg. Met a PvP paladin that was a GOD of not dying no matter what the hell you do. He was humping pillars so hard the poor things were in tears. Improved Concentration Aura running the whole time… counterspell did crap all. Ridiculous amount of stamina, spell haste, and resilience, I swear frostbolt was critting somewhere like 1800 or something. I got… like, one full rank frostbolt. He was cleansing on the precise millisecond when he was hit with any magical effect. Flash of Light was somewhere around 1.1 seconds. Just ridiculous.
I couldn’t kill the guy, I ended up having to out think him. He was guarding west frostwolf tower, you see, and through some snazzy combination of switching between mouse and keyboard turning every second, managed to get him to accidentally fall off the tower.
I IS SO CLEVAR.
Met a level 62 undead warrior. Didn’t even break 6k health. This is WITH Blessing of Kings, Fortitude, AND the health bonus from general whatsisbuckets.
Topped the damage meter. Dealt TRIPLE the damage of the second guy. I know for a fact he didn’t go to the mines, because I was in the mines. Alone.
I have a serious problem with the people who treat AV as a min/max for honor gained per hour affair. You know the people I’m talking about. The ones who get angry and start cursing and swearing in chat if an AV hits 15 minutes in length, and neither side has won decisively yet. The ones who have been playing AV for so long they know the exact strategy to win every time. The ones who firmly believe that defence in any way, shape, or form is an utter waste of time because it protracts a game, thus causing them to lose imaginary currency so they can look pretty for their imaginary girlfriends.
First off, these people are annoying. Incredibly so. Second off, they have no idea what they’re talking about. Invariably, their “strategies” result in Horde trapped at a choke point somewhere around Stormpike with the Alliance having capped absolutely everything belonging to Horde, and Horde having capped… Balinda. Sometimes.
So Anathema has temporarily stopped raiding, due to lack of warm bodies capable of playing the game correctly. Including me, I suppose, but even at my peak, I made 2 raids a week. Heh. I’ve never been what you’d call “reliable”. Wouldn’t even consider being a part of the core raiders.
From here on out, I’ll probably be spending all my time doin’ hawt pee vee pee action on the mage, and goofing off with alts.
(Speaking of which, I got a gorilla on the hunter. Thunderstomp is the win, especially when the guy actually uses it intelligently. As in, he will NOT cast it when only one target is present, but if two are aggro’d, he will cast it. Providing both are in range to be affected.)
With PvP most likely my only real option again, that probably means I should attempt to get on an actual arena team and, perhaps, do some ARENA.
It would probably suck arse for a while though, I haven’t arena’d for a very long time.
Ah well. We all get killed by something sooner or later.
I fear Anathema is going to be casual/dormant for a while. I think the GM and his lovely lady may need a break from trying to keep the other 23 raiders logged on and in line. I’ll help you lose some 2v2 if you wish.
