Premades... I Made One

So. I tried out some other classes on the TTR. I made a hunter. I played around on the hunter. I made a shaman. I played around on the shaman. I made a priest. I played around on the priest.

There are some things I adore about these classes. As a hunter, having the pet really makes me feel like I can be effective in multiple places at once. Sending my pet at the Paladin while turning my guns to some other class just makes me feel so… useful. Like a master strategist at the back of the fight, being all commanderly.

And the sense of power I have from destroying Warlocks… coming from a mage, a class which is practically dominated by warlocks… it feels good. Really good. The amount of satisfaction I get is… unnatural. I think I need therapy.

As a shaman, the ability to do… well, pretty much everything is very attractive. Speccing elemental, I’m like a mage that can heal myself! I tried out the 40/0/21 spec, and it is made of so much awesome. Lightning bolts to take people down, Chain lightning for the same, and off heals whenever our healer needs some help. Grounding Totem is utterly delicious. My god, I hate rogues.

The priest… was short lived. Every single arena, I was simply locked down. Sapped, Blinded, Gouged, Counterspelled, Polymorphed, Kidneyshotted, Wyvern Stinged… Every crowd control out there, I was hit by hit. A dozen times. Now I know what it feels like to be a warrior. Standing there, utterly useless, watching your friends get slaughtered… it’s unpleasant.

There are a few things about the mage class I miss, though.

Frost Nova. I cannot believe how much I want this spell. Earthbind totem is not a substitute. I feel… all gibbly without my precious Frost Nova. Like a hunter without his pet. A shaman without water totems. An essential part of me is missing, and it makes me feel… lonely without it.

The feeling only gets worse when I can’t Blink. I miss Blink even more than I miss Frost Nova. It feels like I am permanently Hamstrung without it.

No Blink, no Frost Nova…. *sniff* I miss my mage…

Is it odd that Frost spec is like a security blanket to me?
